JK Police, CAPFs Conduct Flag Marches to Ensure Security Ahead of LS Polls

Srinagar, Mar 30: In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), orchestrated extensive flag marches across the Kashmir Valley to fortify citizen confidence and guarantee a safe atmosphere for polling.
ADGP Vijay Kumar emphasized strategic security measures to facilitate smooth elections, including flag marches in sensitive polling areas and continuous monitoring of security dynamics to preempt potential risks.
Security officials underscored the meticulous planning of safe routes for electoral personnel movement and heightened security arrangements at critical polling locations to safeguard the electoral process’s integrity.
ADGP L&O reaffirmed law enforcement agencies’ commitment to democracy by ensuring a secure and fair electoral environment.
The flag marches, conducted in compliance with Election Commission of India guidelines, involved the active participation of Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary forces.
In Srinagar city, security vehicles accompanied by foot soldiers paraded from Rajbagh to Rambagh, showcasing proactive security measures to inspire citizens’ confidence in participating in the electoral process without fear.
As political parties gear up for the elections, such initiatives are pivotal in fostering a conducive environment for democratic participation.
