Srinagar, April 04: In a move aimed at improving accessibility for patients, visitors, and medical staff, J&K Bank has inaugurated a permanent Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at the renowned LD Hospital in the valley.
The ATM, replacing its van counterpart, was formally commissioned by the Principal of Government Medical College & Associated Hospitals, Dr. Iffat Hassan, in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Muzaffar Jan, Medical Superintendent of LD Hospital, and Shabir Ahmad, Zonal Head (Srinagar), along with customers and officials from both the Bank and the Hospital.
Dr. Iffat Hassan lauded the Bank’s initiative, highlighting its importance in providing essential banking services during emergencies and catering to the banking needs of medical staff and visitors round the clock. She also praised the Bank for its proactive approach in collaborating with public institutions to ensure banking access for all.
Echoing this sentiment, the Zonal Head emphasized the Bank’s dedication to serving the community by placing the ATM within the hospital premises, facilitating convenient banking services for patients, families, and medical professionals alike. Attendees at the event expressed their appreciation for the Bank’s efforts in providing this essential facility.
