Third Phase of Voting for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections Commences: 93 Constituencies Across 11 States and Union Territories in Play, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Casts Vote in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Constituency

Srinagar, May 07: Today marks the initiation of the third phase of voting for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, a crucial moment in India’s democratic process. Spread across 93 constituencies spanning 11 states and Union Territories, this phase sees more than 1,300 candidates, including 120 women, vying for victory.
The distribution of seats in this phase includes 26 in Gujarat, 14 in Karnataka, 11 in Maharashtra, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, 8 in Madhya Pradesh, 7 in Chhattisgarh, 5 in Bihar, 4 in Assam, 4 in West Bengal, 2 in Goa, and 2 in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. These regions represent a diverse array of political landscapes, each with its own unique dynamics and challenges.
The Lok Sabha elections, spanning seven phases from April 19 to June 1.With the fate of the candidates hanging in the balance, citizens from all walks of life are exercising their democratic right to choose their representatives.
In the midst of this electoral fervor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his vote at a polling booth in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. PM Modi arrived at the Nishan Public School in Ranip locality of Ahmedabad city promptly after polling commenced at 7 am.
