DGP J&K’s Public Grievance Redressal Programme Resumes in Pulwama, ‘Hundreds Participate, Voices Heard, Solutions Assured’

Srinagar, June 08: The Public Grievance Redressal/Interaction Programme led by Director General of Police (DGP) R.R. Swain recommenced with overwhelming participation in District Pulwama.
Over 600 citizens engaged in constructive dialogue, presenting their concerns and grievances directly to the DGP. Each case was personally addressed with a commitment to swift resolution, as some grievances were forwarded to field officers for immediate action.
Expressing gratitude, DGP Swain emphasized the enduring commitment of the police to uphold truth, justice, and partnership with the community. He underscored the importance of public support in maintaining peace and stability in the region, particularly in countering terrorism. Firmly warning against harboring or aiding terrorists, he reiterated the consequences for those found culpable.
In addition to grievance redressal, the programme served as a platform for dialogue and learning, fostering better understanding between law enforcement and the public. DGP Swain also acknowledged the sacrifices of police personnel, paying tribute to martyrs and inaugurating new cyber and technical units to enhance operational capabilities.
The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the police’s commitment to safeguarding the region, supported by the solidarity and engagement of the local community.
