Srinagar, June 09: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has announced changes to the dates of two significant holidays.
According to Government Order No. 1202-JK(GAD) of 2024, the following modifications have been made:
1. The restricted holiday for Martyr’s Day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji will now be observed on June 10, 2024 (Monday), instead of June 16, 2024 (Sunday).
2. The public holiday for the Birthday of Guru Hargobind Ji will now be observed on June 22, 2024 (Saturday), instead of July 5, 2024 (Friday).
This adjustment is a partial modification of previous orders, specifically Government Order No. 1582-JK(GAD) of 2024 and Government Order No. 1583-JK(GAD) of 2024, both dated December 11, 2024.
The revised holiday dates apply to the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
