Sushri Shagun Parihar, files nomination for Kishtwar Assembly constituency in J&K

Srinagar, Aug 27 (KINS): Sushri Shagun Parihar, a PhD student and daughter of martyr Ajeet Parihar, has officially filed her nomination papers for the Kishtwar Assembly constituency in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shagun is also the niece of BJP senior leader Anil Parihar, who was killed alongside her father in a terrorist attack in 2018.
Accompanied by BJP leaders Ravinder Raina and Ashok Kaul, Parihar emphasized that her candidacy honors the legacy of her family and other martyrs who have laid down their lives in the fight against cross-border terrorism.
She vowed to focus on peace, security, employment, and women’s empowerment, aiming to uplift the Kishtwar district from within.
“I am standing here today because of the unwavering support of my party and the people who have stood by us through the darkest times. My mandate is not just my own, but it belongs to all martyr families,” she said as per news agency KINS, after filing her nomination.
Alongside Parihar, BJP candidates Sunil Sharma and Tariq Keen also filed their nominations for the Paddar Nagseni and Inderwal constituencies, respectively.
BJP leader Ravinder Raina expressed confidence in their collective victory, highlighting their shared vision for peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir. (KINS)
