Two soldiers killed, two Injured in encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar

Srinagar, Sep 14 (KINS): Two soldiers were killed, and two others sustained injuries during an encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, officials reported.
The encounter began after security forces, acting on a tip-off, launched a cordon and search operation in the Naidgham area of the Chhatroo belt.
“There was an exchange of fire between search teams of security forces and hiding terrorists at the Pingnal Dugadda forest area, in the upper reaches of Naidgham village under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chhatroo,” police officials stated.
Initial reports suggest that the terrorists involved in the encounter are the same group that carried out an attack on an Indian Army patrol in the Desa area of Doda in July, which resulted in the death of four Army personnel. The terrorists are believed to be trapped in the Chhatroo area of Kishtwar.
Further detailed are awaiting.(KINS)
