‘NC won’t align with BJP’: Ruhullah Mehdi vows to stand with the people if alliance is formed’

Srinagar, Sep 14 (KINS): National Conference (NC) Member of Parliament, Ruhullah Mehdi, has categorically ruled out any possibility of his party forming an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) post-elections.
Speaking to reporters, Mehdi made it clear that the NC would not “dig its own grave” by aligning with the BJP, a move that would be seen as a betrayal by many in the region”.
“If, God forbid, the NC forms an alliance with the BJP after the elections, I will stand with the people,” said Mehdi, as per news agency KINS.
He emphasized the historical and ideological differences between the two parties, stating that any such alliance would go against the very principles the NC has stood for over the decades.
“Our party has always been committed to the aspirations and rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
Mehdi was firm in his stance, saying, “We cannot and will not betray the trust of our people for political gains.”(KINS)
