Stringent Crackdown on Traffic Violators initiated across Baramulla

Baramulla, November 16: In a determined effort to enhance road safety and enforce compliance with traffic laws, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) of Baramulla, Muazzam Ali, initiated a rigorous crackdown on traffic violators across district Baramulla.

The drive, carried out by a dedicated team from the transport department, aimed to address recurring violations and promote responsible driving habits.

During the operation, several offenses were identified, including 13 cases of riders not wearing helmets, 11 drivers neglecting seat belt usage, one instance of mobile phone use while driving, and five vehicles found improperly parked. These violations resulted in challans amounting to Rs.26,500, and several vehicles were blacklisted for non-compliance.

ARTO emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic regulations, highlighting that such enforcement drives are crucial for reducing road accidents and ensuring the safety of all road users.

He further stated that similar actions will continue across the district to instill discipline among motorists. He urged the public to prioritize road safety and strictly follow traffic rules.
