War against drugs: Police seize two vehicles linked to narcotics trade in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 05 (KINS): In a continued effort to combat the menace of drug trafficking, Srinagar Police have seized two vehicles purchased with proceeds from the illegal narcotics trade.
The vehicles, a Corolla (DL4CNE-6086) and a BMW (JK01AF-0047), were confiscated under FIR No. 36/2024, registered under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Chanapora. The accused, identified as Mudasir Ahmad Wani, son of Gulam Rasool Wani and a resident of Stadium Colony, Chanapora, is alleged to have acquired the vehicles through illicit means.
The seizure was carried out in accordance with Section 68 of the NDPS Act, which targets assets derived from drug trafficking.
J&K Police reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating the drug menace and dismantling the infrastructure that supports the illegal narcotics trade.(KINS)
