Police attach property worth 50 Lakhs of notorious drug peddler in Anantnag

Srinagar, Dec 10 (KINS): In a major move against drug trafficking, Anantnag Police have attached a residential property valued at ₹50 lakhs belonging to notorious drug peddler Gh Hassan Bandro alias Qasim, a resident of Sotkipora. The action was carried out by Police Station Srigufwara as part of ongoing efforts to combat the growing drug menace in the region.
Bandro, a habitual offender, has been involved in multiple drug trafficking cases, including FIR Nos. 04/2014 and 74/2021 at Police Station Srigufwara. His continued illegal activities have caused significant harm to the community, prompting authorities to take decisive action.
The property attachment is aimed at sending a clear message to those engaged in the drug trade that their financial assets and operations will be targeted. Police are determined to disrupt drug networks and curb the flow of illegal substances in the area.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to eradicating drug trafficking and have called on the public to assist by reporting any related activities. Community cooperation remains crucial in the fight against the drug menace and ensuring the safety of local residents.(KINS)
