Jammu Srinagar National Highway open amid light Snowfall & rain; travelers advised to exercise caution

Srinagar, Jan 16 (KINS): The National Highway connecting Jammu and Srinagar remains open, though light snowfall has been reported at Qazigund and Jawahar Tunnel, while rainfall is being observed in Ramban and Banihal.
News agency KINS reported that authorities are urging travelers to exercise caution as weather conditions may impact visibility and road grip, especially in the higher altitude areas.
“Drivers are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts and road conditions to ensure safety,” the officials said.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that a tempo overturned on the road at Simroli near Ranjeet Hotel.
One passenger sustained minor injuries and was shifted to PHC Chenani for treatment.(KINS)
