Two Indian Army soldiers missing in South Kashmir amid severe snowstorm; search operations underway: Army

Srinagar, Oct 08 (KINS): The Indian Army reported that on the intervening night of 6th and 7th October, an operational team deployed in the Kishtwar range of South Kashmir encountered a severe snowstorm and whiteout conditions in the high-altitude mountains.
Since the incident, two soldiers have been out of communication, prompting the Army to launch intense search and rescue operations.
However, the ongoing adverse weather conditions have significantly hampered the rescue efforts.
In a post on X Chinar Corps of Indian Army as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service said: “On the intervening night of 6/7 Oct an operational team on Kishtwar range confronted a severe snow storm and white out conditions in the mountains of South Kashmir. Since then, two soldiers have gone out of communication. Intense Search and Rescue operations have been launched but hampered due to prevailing adverse weather conditions”.
The Army has assured that all possible resources are being mobilized to locate the missing personnel.(KINS)
