H & D clinch Champions T20 Cup Natipora 2025 (Winter Edition)

Srinagar, Dec 16 (KINS): H & D lifted the Champions T20 Cup Natipora 2025 (Winter Edition) after registering a thrilling last-over victory against City Gate Batwara in a high-voltage final played here on Tuesday.

After winning the toss, City Gate Batwara opted to bat first and posted a total of 174 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Their innings witnessed a steady batting display, but H & D bowlers kept striking at crucial intervals to prevent the opposition from accelerating freely.

Javid Jaddu emerged as the standout performer with the ball for H & D, claiming three important wickets and putting pressure on City Gate Batwara. His disciplined spell played a key role in restricting the batting side to a manageable total.

Chasing a challenging target, H & D began their reply with intent but faced stiff resistance from City Gate Batwara’s bowlers, making the contest evenly poised till the final stages. Nasir Rasool anchored the chase with a composed knock of 40 runs, while Wasim provided solid support by contributing 34 runs, ensuring H & D remained in contention.

Umar Parray displayed nerves of steel, scoring a vital 12 runs off just four balls to seal the victory in the last over, sparking celebrations among players and supporters alike.

The win crowned H & D as champions of the Natipora Champions T20 Cup 2025 (Winter Edition), capping off an exciting tournament that witnessed competitive cricket and enthusiastic participation from teams across the region. (KINS)
