MLA R S Pathania criticises “long power cuts in Jammu on Lohri”

Jammu, Jan 13 (KINS):Senior BJP leader and MLA R S Pathania on Tuesday criticised what he described as prolonged power cuts in Jammu on the occasion of Lohri, saying the outages spoiled the festive spirit and hurt public sentiments.
In a social media post, Pathania said that “Lohri is an important cultural and religious festival, but many areas of Jammu faced power cuts for more than six hours, creating problems for families celebrating the festival”.
“On the auspicious occasion of Lohri, Jammu is facing power cuts of over six hours. This is not just an inconvenience; it affects our culture, our families and our traditions,” he said.
He accused the government of being insensitive to people’s emotions, especially during festivals. Pathania said the authorities appeared to be ignoring public prayers and traditions on such important days.
The MLA added that a continuous power supply during festivals is a basic need, not a luxury. He also used hashtags like #DarkLohri, #JammuPowerCrisis, and #InsensitiveSarkar to highlight public anger over frequent and long power cuts in the region.(KINS)
