J&K U-11 Chess Championship from July 17 in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 14: The All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association (AJKCA) has announced that the Union Territory Level Under-11 Boys and Girls Chess Championship-cum-final selection trials will be held on July 17, 2026 at the Srinagar Sports Club.
The championship will serve as the final selection event to choose the J&K contingent for the 39th National Under-11 Boys & Girls Chess Championships 2026, scheduled to be held from August 2 to 8, 2026, at the Indoor Stadium, Urwa, Mangaluru, Karnataka.
According to the association, the top two players in both the boys’ and girls’ categories will earn the opportunity to represent the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir at the prestigious national championship.
The All J&K Chess Association has invited all eligible and enthusiastic Under-11 chess players from across the Union Territory to participate in the championship.
The last date for submission of entries is July 15, 2026, up to 6:00 PM.
