Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra suspended for fourth Day due to bad weather

Katra, July 22 (KINS): The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra remained suspended for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday due to adverse weather conditions in the Trikuta Hills.
With the pilgrimage on hold as a precautionary measure, Katra, the base camp for the revered shrine, witnessed a noticeable decline in the movement of devotees. Usually crowded with pilgrims, the town wore a deserted look as many visitors stayed back awaiting an improvement in the weather.
Authorities have advised devotees to follow official weather updates and avoid travelling towards the shrine until the Yatra is officially resumed.
Officials said the pilgrimage will restart once weather conditions improve and it is considered safe for devotees to proceed to the holy cave shrine.(KINS)
