J&K Police activates dial 112 emergency response service across Jammu Zone

Jammu, Aug 13 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday activated the National General Emergency Response System, Dial 112, across the Jammu Zone to provide prompt assistance to people during emergencies, officials said.

The service is available through police stations across the Jammu Zone, offering a single helpline for seeking immediate assistance in situations such as fire, medical emergencies, women-related distress and disasters.

Police have urged the public to use the facility whenever required. Posters displayed to spread awareness about the service carry the message: “In case of an emergency, anytime, anywhere, Dial 112 for immediate assistance.”

The initiative is aimed at strengthening emergency response mechanisms and ensuring timely assistance to people across the region.(KINS)
