DC Srinagar chairs DLSCC meeting; several cases recommended for compassionate appointment and cash compensation under SRO-43
SRINAGAR AUGUST 22:- A meeting of District Level Screening cum Coordination Committee (DLSCC) was today held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo here at the meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
The meeting conducted a detailed review of cases and claims submitted under SRO-43 by the next of kin (NoKs) of persons killed in terror-related incidents in Srinagar District.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Aadil Fareed, IAS Probationer, Aakash Garg, SP headquarter, Umer Shah, Additional SP CID, Ashok Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Umar Gulzar, District Social Welfare Officer, Mohammad Yousuf, District Health Officer, Dr Rubeena, Tehsildars of South, Eidgah, Khanyar & Shalteng, senior officers from BSF, Army and other security agencies, besides Officials from the concerned departments.
At the outset, the Committee undertook a comprehensive deliberation on various cases/claims and supporting documents submitted under SRO-43 by NoKs of those killed in terror related incidents in Srinagar district. After a detailed examination, the Committee recommended cases to the Government for consideration for compassionate appointment under the SRO-43 while some cases were recomended for cash compensation.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner directed prompt scrutiny and speedy disposal of such cases, so that eligible beneficiaries receive timely relief and the cases are cleared without unnecessary delay. He stressed expeditious examination of eligible cases under the applicable provisions of SRO-43 and ensuring timely assistance to the affected families.
