CM reviews languishing revenue projects, flood damage restoration in J&K

Srinagar, Sept 08 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today chaired a meeting at the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, to review the progress of languishing projects under the Revenue Department across Jammu and Kashmir, with a focus on expediting their completion and removing bottlenecks responsible for delays.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister took stock of the status of various pending projects and directed the concerned authorities to identify impediments and take time-bound measures to ensure their early completion.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the repair, restoration and rehabilitation measures undertaken following damage caused by recent adverse weather conditions and floods in the Jammu Division.
He directed the concerned departments to expedite restoration of damaged infrastructure and ensure coordinated efforts to minimise disruption to essential services.
The Chief Minister further stressed the need to strengthen disaster preparedness and response mechanisms, with emphasis on timely intervention, inter-departmental coordination and effective response to future emergencies.
The concerned departments were directed to closely monitor restoration works and ensure that relief, rehabilitation and infrastructure restoration measures are carried out efficiently and within the stipulated timelines.(KINS)
