J&K Weather: Light rain, thunderstorms likely in some areas from Sept 27–28; farmers advised safe crop storage
Srinagar, Sep 25 (KINS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir on September 25–26, with a brief spell of rain or thundershower possible at isolated places.
According to the latest forecast, September 27–28 may remain generally cloudy, with brief spells of light rain at some places. Light snowfall is possible over higher reaches, along with thunder and gusty winds in a few districts.
The weather is expected to remain generally dry on September 29–30, though brief spells of rain may occur at a few places. October 1–2 is likely to remain generally dry.
From October 3–5, generally cloudy weather is expected, with light rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds at a few places. Weather is likely to remain generally dry again on October 6–7.
Advisory for Farmers
The Meteorological Centre has advised that the current weather conditions are suitable for harvesting apples, paddy and other farm operations.
Farmers have also been advised to ensure safe storage of harvested crops during September 27–28, when rain and gusty winds are expected in some areas. (KINS)
