Srinagar, Oct 15 (KINS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast light to moderate rain at many places across Jammu and Kashmir on October 15, with light snowfall over higher reaches. Thunderstorms, gusty winds and hailstorms are also possible at isolated places.
The weather is expected to remain generally dry on October 16, with brief spells of light rain at isolated to scattered places. Dry weather is likely from October 17 to 24.
For October 25–27, generally cloudy weather with light rain at scattered places and light snowfall over higher reaches is expected. Thunderstorms and gusty winds may occur at a few places.
Advisory: People have been advised to safely store harvested apples, paddy and other crops. Travellers, transporters and the general public should follow traffic advisories and plan their journeys accordingly, keeping in view the possibility of snowfall on important passes and highways.
Farmers have been advised to resume harvesting and other agricultural activities from October 16 onwards.(KINS)
