Emphasising prompt public service, the Commissioner directed the Snow Monitoring Committee and the 24×7 Control Room to remain fully operational and ensure timely action on complaints related to snow accumulation, blocked roads and other disruptions.
He further instructed officers to keep permanent dewatering stations functional and deploy high-capacity mobile pumps in vulnerable and low-lying areas to prevent waterlogging during rainfall and snowmelt.
Dr. Qayoom stressed the importance of advance planning, field-level monitoring and coordination among departments, directing all concerned officers to ensure adequate preparedness in every municipal ward.
