SHRC seeks compliance report from DC, SSP Anantnag in Hurriyat leader’s killing

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights commission on Thursday issued a notice to superintendent of police and Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag and asked them to submit the detailed compliance report into the assassination of senior Hurriyat leader Mir Hafeezullah.

Mir Hafeezullah was killed by unknown gunmen outside his residence on November 25 2018.

The notice has been issued in response to a petition filed by Rights activist Muhammad Ahsaan Untoo.
