Elderly woman dies on snow covered road in Kupwara

In a shocking incident an elderly woman died after stuck in a traffic mess following fresh snowfall in north Kashmir’s Frontier district.

Reports said that a 75 year old woman identified as Taja Begum wife of Abdul Qayoom resident of Tetwal area of Kupwara died due to cold late this evening after being stuck in traffic mess following fresh snowfall.

Reports said that the deceased along with her family was on way to her home from Srinagar when they stuck in traffic at Sadna Top, however after authorities suspended traffic movement they were traveling by foot and in the meantime the woman died due to cold.

While confirming the incident a police officer said that they were traveling by foot however due to cold following heavy snowfall the woman last her breathe near Khoni Nallah.
