Militant hideout busted in Baramulla, operation suspended for night

 

Srinagar, March 20 : Police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a militant hideout at Kandi area of Kalantra in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

SSP Baramulla Abdul Qayoom told that the joint team of police and army busted a militant hideout at Kandi area of Kalantra adjacent to Nambalnar on Wednesday evening.

“We have suspended the operation in wake of darkness amid bad weather in the area,” SSP said.

The SSP said that some gunshots were reported soon after the joint team of army’s 29 RR, SOG and CRPF arrived in the area for launching a cordon-and -search operation. (GNS)
