March 24: Police in Anantnag arrested a bootlegger during a naka checking and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.
A police party headed by DO Sangam intercepted a Chevrolet vehicle bearing Reg. No. DL4CAD 9216 during a naka checking near the Sangam bridge. During search, bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of Mohd Younis Ganie son of Mohammad Ahsan Ganie resident of Panipora Kulgam.
Anantnag police registered a case under relevant sections of law and initiated investigation in the matter.
