Give me 50 crore, will kill Modi: Sacked BSF trooper in video

Former Border Security Force (BSF) trooper Tej Bahadur Yadav, whose nomination was cancelled from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat, has said that he could kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi if provided with Rs 50 crores.

Tej Bahadur has reportedly admitted that he is in the clip but alleged there is a conspiracy behind it. Meanwhile, the BJP has lashed out at Tej Bahadur.

Here are the excerpts of the shocking conversation Tej Bahadur Yadav can be seen as having with some friends, reportedly Delhi Police personnel:

Tej Bahadur Yadav: Give me money and I will kill Modi.

Friend: You are okay with killing Modi?

Tej Bahadur Yadav: Give me Rs 50 crores.

Friend: 50 crores? You won’t get that much money in India at least. Pakistan can give you Rs 50 crores.

Tej Bahadur Yadav: No, I won’t do such a thing. I am loyal to my country.

Friend: But Modi is the Prime Minister of India.

Tej Bahadur Yadav: No, I won’t be disloyal to my country. Money does not matter.

Friend: Why I asked you this question…is because you just said that you can kill Modi for Rs 50 crores.

Tej Bahadur Yadav: No, but not at the cost of my loyalty towards my country. Only if I am getting the money from an Indian.

In 2017, the BSF had set up a court of inquiry against Tej Pratap Yadav after his videos complaining about poor food — “watery dal and burnt chapatis” — served to the troops on the frontlines surfaced online. His videos went so viral that the home ministry ordered an investigation and even the Prime Minister’s Office asked for a report.

Yadav was shifted out of the Line of Control as the controversy escalated, and later dismissed on charges of making false claims. Alleging persecution, Yadav also put out a video complaining that the authorities hadn’t really probed his allegations.

Nearly a year later in April last, the BSF commissioned an assessment by the Defence Research and Development Organisation of meals served to jawans and officers of the paramilitary force.
