Amid presence of UN offices in Srinagar, Muzaffarabad, Art 370 can’t be abrogated: Muzaffar Shah

Srinagar, Jun 29: Senior Vice president of Awami National conference (ANC), Muzaffar Shah Saturday said that Articles 370 and 35A can’t be abrogated till United Nations (UN) office is in Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.

Shah while reacting to Union Home Minister’s statement over Article 370 told that “I want to ask Amit Shah to lock the offices of UN in Srinagar Muzaffarabad before abrogating Article 370 and Article 35A. You can’t abrogate such a constitution amid the presence of these offices.”

He further added that Article 370 was temporary and not permanent provision and it is s special package for JK but only the constituent assembly of Jammu and Kashmir can recommend for its abrogation it, therefore “the parliament, Supreme Court (SC) and President of India cannot abrogate it. We should not make tall claims as it won’t prove anything.” (KNS)
