Civilian injured in cross-LoC firing in Poonch

A civilian was injured on Sunday late evening in cross LoC firing in Qasba village in Poonch district of Jammu division.

Reports said that the armies of India and Pakistan resorted to cross border shelling and firing at about 4 pm on Sunday in Qasba, Shahpur and Kirni areas in Poonch district.

An official identified the injured as Jamal Din (50) a resident of Qasba village.

He said that the injured received splinter injuries in a mortar shell blast that landed near his home in the evening.

Jamal Din was referred to Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu due to grievous abdomen injuries, said an official.
