BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 07: In a bid to comply with the directions of National Green Tribunal (NGT), Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today constitutes a Sub-Committee for the preparation of District Environmental Plan. The committee, headed by Divisional Forest Officer, JV Division Baramulla and having members from several departments, is mandated to formulate a comprehensive plan for environmental conservation and protection.
On the meeting, it was given out that the committee has been formulated to take appropriate measures for preserving environment and ecology of the district.
The DDC stressed upon the members to work in coordination so that a viable plan is formulated within stipulated timeframe. He emphasized upon all stakeholders to participate in environmental conservation.
