J&K Students Body Urged PM, MEA to take measures to evacuate the Kashmiri students stranded in China

J&K Students Body, a body of Kashmiri Students here on today Urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to take Immediate measures and make special arrangements for the safe evacuation of Kashmiri Students stranded in China following the outbreak of Coronavirus. In a Statement, Spokesperson of Association Nasir Khuehami said that, the fast spreading virus is worrying their parents in Kashmir Valley too.

He urged External affairs Ministry to make all possible efforts to rescue them at the earliest as students in China particularly in Wuhan were running short of food and water in their dormitory due to the continued shutdown in the city, which is the epicentre of the deadly coronavirus outbreak. He said that students continue to be anxious as the virus is spreading in the city. He said that Students have been advised to stay indoors.

Khuehami said that, we demand immediate airlifting by charting a special flight for Kashmiri students as Situation in China is going from bad to worse due to CronaVirus. We appealed the Prime Minister to directed Concerned officials particularly to Indian Embassy in China to act Swiftly and provide necessary assistance to J&K students stranded in China and to initiate their safe evacuation at an earliest, he added.

Additional spokesperson of the Association Younus Rashid also appeals the Central Govt to immediately look into the circumstance that is prevailing in China. The deaths caused due to Coronavirus are painful, and if any Kashmiri students are feeling unsafe he/she must be evacuated at the earliest possible time. The top priority at the moment is to make sure no student gets infected, he said.

Meanwhile, Joint Secretry of Association, Khadim Khan said that, It is matter of high concern and need to be soughted out at an earliest. We also urge students to follow the instructions of the medical facility in letter and spirit, he added.
