COVID- 19: MHA officials dealing with JK, Ladakah review lockdown situation

Srinagar, Mar, 25 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Ladakah Affairs, dealing with all matters in respect of UTs of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) reviewed the lockdown situation across two Union Territories in view of the coronavirus outbreak.

Top sources told Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that senior officials of home ministry dealing with all the matters of JK and Ladakah were in constant touch with the top brass of security forces and administration in both the union territories to ensure that the lockdown was successful.

“We are closely monitoring the impact of the lockdown in both the union territories. We have assured all possible assistance to the forces to help maintain any law and order situation arising out of lockdown after the coronavirus outbreak in both the UTs,” a senior official in MHA dealing with the JK and Ladakah affairs told KINS.

He said that they have told the security agencies of both the union territories to remain on alert and put forth all the possible help to the general public in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile top official here in the police said that they were fully prepared to help the people and the civil administration in dealing with the coronavirus crisis. (KINS)
