Mahila Shakti Kendra Srinagar to provide help to women affected by violence

DDC Srinagar directs ICDS to provide all facilities to these violence affected women

SRINAGAR, MAY 11:  District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has directed District Programme Officer, ICDS to provide all the facilities for smooth functioning and proper care of women affected by the violence at District Level Centre for Women, (Mahila Shakti Kendra), Srinagar.

Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) would act as substitute to One Stop Centre, Srinagar for time being till engagement of new NGO is finalized.

The DDC directed all the concerned that any violence affected women shall not suffer and all the facilities shall be provided to violence affected women.

On May 6, the DDC, who is also chairman One Stop Centre, Srinagar had chaired a meeting with the concerned Departments, regarding emergency respond and resource service to the women affected by violence.

The MSK would provide help to the affected women which include services like medical facility, lodging of FIR, counseling, facilitation of justice to the women affected by violence, providing of short stay shelter and other facilities to the women.
