Srinagar, May 15 (KINS): Commissioner Secretary Industries and commerce Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, who is also the chairman of the committee constituted by the Government to examine the pending payments to suppliers from each department, took the review meeting on the progress made by the departments.
According to the statement issued to news agency KINS, the review meeting was held on account of the outstanding payments of supply of key materials viz. Cement, Iron, Steel, Bitumen, Wire Crates and furniture supplied to the various Govt. Departments by MSMEs/SICOP, JK Cements and Handloom Corporations.
“The Chairman was informed by the senior officers of representing departments that the outstanding figures are under reconciliation with the concerned DDOs and shall be completed by 23rd May, 2020. It was also informed and assured by the officers that during this period some portion of the outstanding payments shall be cleared and that the balance payments shall be released once the reconciliation is completed”.
“The Commissioner/Secretary stressed upon the officers representing different departments to make all efforts and clear the pending payments to the SSIs/SICOP, JK Cements and other suppliers at an earliest so that, these units shall not suffer for want of their capital requirements”.
The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary, RDD / P.H.E / Tourism / PDD / Housing & Urban Development Department, Director Finance, PWD, Director Finance, Social Welfare, Joint Director, Planning, Joint Director, Budget.
Besides above, the meeting was also attended by Managing Director SICOP Director Finance, Industries & Commerce and General Manager, SICOP. (KINS)
