22 vehicles seized for violating lockdown orders in Ang

ANANTNAG, MAY 27: The district administration has seized 22 vehicles for violating lockdown orders in and around Anantnag town today.

Acting on the directions of District Magistrate, senior officers of district administration fanned out in different areas to enforce lockdown and halt unnecessary vehicle and public movement.

The district administration has prohibited the operation of transport and markets to protect public health and flatten the rising graph of COVID – 19 cases.

All the essential services, together with the officials on duty, have been facilitated through issuance of e-passes in order to ensure that people do not suffer on account of shortage of essentials or basic civic amenities.

In the meantime, the District Magistrate has renewed his appeal to the public to observe complete lockdown and abstain from venturing out of their homes unnecessarily.
