Kashmir records fresh two COVID-19 death, JK toll touches 130

Srinagar, July 05(KINS): Kashmir reported fresh two COVID19 related deaths on Sunday, taking the fatalities due to COVID19 in Jammu and Kashmir to 130.


The latest fatalities include a 60- year- old female from Shadipora who died at SKIMS and 40 -year -old male from Sangrama Baramulla who died at CD hospital.


Dr Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent at SKIMS told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that a 60 -year -old female from Shadipora Bandipora who tested positive for COVID-19 died at SKIMS on Sunday at 9:15 am due to cardiopulmonary arrest with azotemia and sepsis.
“Patient was known case of hypertension, diabetes, CKD, ESRD admitted with pneumonia and encephalopathy, “he said.


Dr Saleem Tak, Medical superintendent at CD hospital told KINS that a 40 -year-old man from Sangrama area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district who tested positive for Covid-19 and referred from SMHS to CD on June 27 died on Sunday morning. “The patient was suffering from bilateral pneumonia,” he said.


With these fresh two deaths, the toll rises to 130 in the union territory of J&K—116 from the Valley and 14 from Jammu division. (KINS)
