JKI to increase in Market Presence In Jammu City, work on Experience cum Sales Centre nearing completion.

Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce Mr. M K Dwivedi today reviewed the ongoing works of the Experience Centre of Jammu Kashmir Industries Limited being constructed at Shalieeth Chowk Jammu.

Managing Director JKI Sanjay Handoo informed that the facility would be used for the display and sale of furniture and related items being manufactured at Joinery Mills Bari Brahmana Jammu. The said Centre would increase the market visibility and boost the sales of the Furniture and Joinery items being manufactured by JKI which in absence of such a facility within the city of Jammu acted as a deterrent for most the people who found it difficult and cumbersome to visit the manufacturing Unit located in the Industrial Estate of Bari Brahmana Jammu.

The facility having three floors besides display cum sale of furniture and Joinery items would also have Silk and Wool Products being manufactured by JKI in its various units located in Jammu and Kashmir.

Commissioner Secretary while appreciating the creation of the said facility also directed the management to expedite the Process of e marketing of its products and reviewed the progress made on tie up with Amazon by JKI for the marketing of its Silk Products.

Commissioner Secretary also stressed upon the need of timely completion of the other ongoing infrastructure projects of JKI so that the organization achieve the target of being a successful and commercially viable organization. (KINS)
