Secretary Jal Shakti inspects WSSs, filtration plants in Baramulla

BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 23: Secretary, Jal Shakti Department, M Raju, today visited Baramulla district to take stock of water supply scenario in the district.

Secretary inspected various completed and under construction Water Supply Schemes and filtration plants in the district. He had a detailed assessment of the status and working of these public assets with directions to the concerned officers for ensuring proper operationlization of the same.

Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Department PHE, Kashmir, Superintendent Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, Hydraulic Circle Baramulla besides Executive Engineers and concerned officers accompanied the Secretary.

Secretary inspected Water Supply Scheme Hyder Mohalla Singhbagh, Water Supply Scheme Jetty Baramulla, Water Supply Scheme Karewa Astanpora, Water Supply Scheme Drang, Water Supply Scheme Salam Deedar and 1.0 MGD Rapid Sand Filtration Plant Regional Kreeri and various other schemes.

Secretary, while reviewing flagship programmes of Jal Jeevan Mission in the district, interacted with the officers and discussed measures for further streamlining of these vital schemes.

Secretary asked the officers to achieve the set targets under the departmental schemes in time besides ensuring adequate water supply to the people.
