Srinagar, Mar 17 (KINS): After transferring 34 bureaucrats in one of the biggest administrative reshuffles since August 2019 in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the government is all set to issue orders on transfers and posting in J&K Police department.
Officials aware of the matter told news agency KINS that a major reshuffle was also on the cards in the police department and many officers were expected to be transferred.

The Jammu & Kashmir administration Tuesday transferred 34 bureaucrats in one of the biggest administrative reshuffles since August 2019 when the erstwhile state was stripped of its semi-autonomous status and split into two Union territories.
Sources claimed that there will be major reshuffle in the police administration in J&K and, IGP rank officers, several SSP’s and SP’s will get new place of postings.
“The exercise for a massive reshuffle in police administration has already been set into motion with the proposals being processed and finalized for the transfer of senior IPS officers holding key positions in the J&K Police,” sources said.
It is believed that some district SSP’s will also be shifted. (KINS)
