DC takes cognizance of reports of absenteeism of doctors at GMC Anantnag
Directs for strict monitoring of attendance of medical staff

Anantnag June 14 (KINS): Taking cognizance of reports regarding unauthorized absence of some doctors from duty at Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) also District Magistrate Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla today directed the Principal of the college to strictly monitor the attendance and roster of the doctors and paramedical staff there.
The DC further asked the Principal to ensure the health staff at the college attend the duties punctually and follow the roster in letter and spirit besides forwarding the attendance to the office of the Deputy Commissioner on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, on directions of the DC, a team of officials headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh and Tehsildar Anantnag being members, was sent to GMC Anantnag to verify the attendance of the doctors on ground.
Speaking on the matter, the DC said that the doctors should regularly attend the duties adding that the punctuality of medical staff becomes even more significant during these testing (Covid) times. (KINS)
