Alamdar Memorial College organizes awareness programme on hygiene

Srinagar July 31 (KINS): Alamdar Memorial College of Nursing and Medical technology Friday organised an awareness programe in their adopted village as per the directives of Ministry of Education, GOI and in keeping with the National Educational Policy 2020 guidelines.

The theme of today’s program was basic health and hygiene awareness and garbage disposal, using toilet and hand washing. The programme was initiated by Prof. (Dr) Mehmooda Regu(Principal) and was presided by Faculty members namely: Tabashir Bashir (Tutor),accompanied by Neelofar Jan (Assistant Professor), Roohi Jan (Tutor), Bushra Mushtaq (Tutor) & Ruksana (Tutor) who guided & trained the students.

Prof. (Dr) Mehmooda Regu inaugurate the programme with her speech in which she unfolds the theme and she also discussed the aim, objectives and the benefits the villagers will get under this program. The faculty then spoke on different topics which includes 1. proper using of toilet in village 2. Hand washing techniques 3. Hygiene awareness & garbage disposal under the theme “BASIC HEALTH AND HYGIENE” and the students of B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year went door to door to provide home health education and awareness in the said village.

The event was held in presences of Medical officer Pakharpora, village Sarpanch, and Lambardar of village.
