Enrollment Drive Kick-started at Sedow, Shopian

 

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 23 ( KINS): The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Shopian, Mohammad Mushtaq today kick-started enrollment drive at Government Higher Secondary School Sedow, Shopian.

Addressing the people and students, the CEO highlighted the number of facilities provided by the Government Schools including Science Labs, ICT/CAL labs, free text books, free uniforms and mid-day meals etc. He said that the Schools have state of art facilities and well trained highly qualified teachers.

He further added that the book banks are in all most all of the schools of the district where books are provided to newly enrolled students. He said that the new books will be received from Directorate of School Education soon and will be issued to the students on priority basis.

Meanwhile, CEO flagged off a Road Race Organised by the District Youth Service and Sports Officer Shopian and later addressed the participants on price distribution ceremony.

CEO briefly highlighted the importance of sports in overall personality development of students.

The rally was concluded on a good note with prize distribution among the students of various schools who participated in Road Race .( KINS)
