J&K reports 7700 crimes against women cases in 2 years

Srinagar Jan 03 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir records an average of 12 daily cases of crimes against women, with approximately 7700 cases reported in the Union Territory over the past two years. The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), a copy of which lies with Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) reveals that 3900 crimes against women were registered in 2021, and 3800 cases in 2022, encompassing offenses such as modesty violations, rape, cruelty by husbands or relatives, and abductions and kidnappings of women.
