High-End Workshop at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu Concludes

Jammu Jan 16: A seven-day workshop on ‘Latest Trends in Scientific, Medical and Regulatory Writings: Upscaling Skills in Science Communication and Bridging the Gap Between Academia And Industry’ organised at CSIR-Indian Institute on Integrative Medicine Jammu concluded here today.
The workshop was sponsored by SERB, under the Accelerate Vigyan scheme, and was focused on encouraging high-end scientific research and preparing scientific documents by connecting links between industry and academia. Giving the details of the workshop, a spoke person informed that a total of 25 participants were drawn from various academic and scientific institutions of the India.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM, Jammu on Jan. 09, 2024. Over the period of seven days, a number of sessions were conducted related to scientific, medical, and regulatory writing. The sessions were taken by the scientific staff of CSIR-IIIM, Jammu, and apart from that, outside experts from the industry and other academic institutions were also invited during the tenure of the workshop viz. Dr. SG Ramachandra, Chief Research Scientist, IISc Bengaluru, Dr Kanica Kaushal, AP, ILBS, New Delhi, Dr Ravinder S, AVP, Axis Clinical Ltd, Dr Eshita Sharma and Dr Lalit Kanodia AVP, TATA 1MG. The valedictory session of the workshop involved taking feedback from the participants and awarding the participation certificates. Director, CSIR-IIIM, graced the valedictory session with his kind presence and delivered an encouraging and thought-provoking talk to the participants. In his talk, Director emphasized scientific work needs integration and can’t be done alone. Further, he said that the institute would increase the frequency of these kinds of workshops and conveyed best wishes to the students for their future endeavors. Dr. Love Sharma, Scientist, and Co-ordinator of this workshop while speaking during the valedictory session expressed gratitude to all the involved members in organizing the event and the participants for making it grand success. Dr. Mir Mahmood Asrar, Scientist has conducted the proceedings of the valedictory session and Dr. Kancherla Prasad, Sr. Scientist proposed the formal vote of thanks.
The workshop was organized under the patronage of Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM, Jammu and co-patronage of Er. Abdul Rahim, Chief Scientist & Head, RMBD&IST.
