Srinagar, Jan 25: Kulgam Police marked the 14th National Voters Day-2024 with a “Voters Pledge” ceremony held across all police establishments in the district. Officers and jawans pledged to uphold the democratic traditions of India, ensuring free, fair, and peaceful elections, devoid of any influence based on religion, race, caste, community, or language.
This day also honors the establishment of the Election Commission of India on January 25, 1950, aiming to raise awareness and encourage voter participation while promoting inclusivity, accessibility, and participation in the electoral process.
