Gharana Wetland: A Spectacular Haven for Bird Lovers

Srinagar, Feb 04: Nestled just 30 kilometers away from Jammu city, Gharana Wetland is a must-see spot for anyone who loves birds and nature.
This special place is a semi-arid reserve along the International Border at Suchetgarh.
Every winter, it becomes home to more than 150 different kinds of migratory birds. Imagine the sight: at one time, you can spot up to 50 different species of birds all together!
Gharana Wetland is like a paradise for birdwatchers.
People come from all around to catch a glimpse of these beautiful creatures. Not only are there many common birds to see, but there are also some rare and endangered ones too.
It’s not just about watching birds, Gharana Wetland also teaches us an important lesson about how nature and humans are connected. The recent Bird Watching Festival held there was a big success.
It reminded everyone about the importance of protecting places like Gharana Wetland, so they can continue to be enjoyed by generations to come.
