Srinagar: The J&K Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Conference, State President, Zahid Parwaz Choudhary, on Saturday urged the Governor to order a vigilance probe into the alleged misappropriation and withdrawal of Arabs of SCA to TSP funds during last three years.
In a statement, Zahid alleged that Arabs of funds were withdrawn by the state Govt, which should be probed through vigilance commission and action should be taken against the authorities those who surrndered Arabs of funds.
He said Gujjar Bakerwal community which is the third largest community of the state is facing extreme hardships in this era of 21st century, as most of the villages of this have no basic amenities like roads, electricity, hospitals.
He said that there is no transparancy in the system for the utilisation of funds.
He appealed to Governor for the probe of funds through vigilance commission as “there is the huge misappropriation of funds meant for the development of this community that funds provided for implementation of different tribal-development projects have not been properly utilised in the state during last three years”.
He said that 60 per cent of funds allocated under Tribal Sub Plan have been diverted to other purposes.
“It is a serious matter which needs to be looked into, and probed.”
He said that Arabs have been misutilised and surrendered which should be Probed otherwise “we will launch state wide stir against the biased approach of State Governance”.
