Two held along with cash, ammo in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Jan 11: Ahead of Republic Day, two persons have been detained by police recovering an amount of Rs 5 Lacs and some ammunition in the outskirts of Srinagar.

A senior Police official told Kashmir Indepth News that during a naka which was laid at Lawaypor near Dilshan Hotel a Maruti Car bearing registration number JK 13 C 2094 was intercepted and two persons were held with a hard cash and ammunition.

The officer pleading anonymity told Kashmir Indepth News that the ammunition recovered from the two detained person included two guns—One Insas and One AK 47 rifle besides few grenades.
