Kulgam Encounter: 5 militants killed, operation over

Srinagar, February 10: Five militants were killed in fierce Gunfight which broke out between militants and goverment forces in Keelam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday morning.

A senior Police official told GNS that that five militants have been killed and operation is over. However identification of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained, the officer said.

As per the sources all the slain militants are said be to locals.

Earlier SSP Kulgam Harmeet Singh Mehta reconfirmed to GNS that contact has been established with the hiding militants and gunfight is on.

Meanwhile internet has been suspended in Kulgam for precautionary measures.(GNS)
